Northern California Customers Maintain Fuel Service, Gain Access to SCL Expertise

Long-time, family-operated provider of fuel, lubricants and service chemicals, SCL has acquired several SC Commercial assets – including team members, distribution, and other operational support – in the Bay Area.

The move, which comes after more than 20 years of partnership between the two companies, means customers in northern California will maintain the same level of reliable fuel service they’ve come to expect from SC Commercial with the added benefit of diverse product offerings and expertise from SCL.

“We’ve maintained a long relationship of shared resources with SC Commercial, and our goal moving forward will be to deliver seamless, exceptional service to customers in the Bay area,” said SCL President and CEO Richard Becktel. “We are well-suited operationally for this extension and we’re excited about cultivating new relationships and fostering existing ones with businesses wherever metal touches metal. Our goal, as always, is to ensure we remain a reliable source for petroleum and other service chemicals, fuel delivery, and unmatched industry expertise throughout the state.”

In addition to securing responsibility for SC Commercials’ customer base in the Northern California region, the acquisition also includes assuming responsibility for SC Commercial facilities in San Jose, Watsonville, and Greenfield.
